Even now, almost four months later, our wedding guests rave about how personal, intimate, thoughtful, and special our ceremony was. And the handfasting brought everyone to tears, it was unique and incredibly moving. From the very beginning Elizabeth made us feel comfortable and allowed us to be as involved as we wanted in creating our unique wedding ceremony. Dear Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for guiding us to make our wedding ceremony so special! You helped us create our dream wedding and bring it into reality. Everyone remarked afterwards on what a wonderful job you did and how they had never seen a ceremony like ours before. To us, that is the greatest compliment when people are so impressed and go on and on about how much they were floored by your ceremony when most are pretty generic. Many people said they even wanted to steal our ideas for their own weddings!

Telling the story of our meeting and lives together was really wonderful for our guests to hear, as many of them did not know all the details. Guests said they felt like they really knew us a lot more after this ceremony, which is just what we wanted. At most weddings, you don’t get to hear anything like that. You presented it in a touching and real way that was just right – not too formal, not too casual. Your system of having the couple fill out a questionnaire separately was spot-on and really worked to make that part of the ceremony shine. It was also great that we were facing out to the guests so they could see our faces the whole time and that we were facing our respective families.

We really appreciated your direction helping us find all the elements that made our ceremony so personalized and symbolic to us. You really took an interest in looking into our roots and family for inspiration. All the guests loved the “Flower Ceremony” and thought it was such a cool element. We especially cherished it because we were able to involve each member of our bridal party and give them a true purpose vs. just standing by our side. For the same reason, we appreciated the “Cross of St. Brigid” idea because it was able to involve our Mother’s in the ceremony, without doing a unity candle. The significance was touching and appropriate, while bringing in our heritage. We have the crosses hanging over a doorway as a symbol of that parental protection. Your idea of keeping the part about handing them the roses a secret was also a nice touch. We love the “Marriage Bell (Bell of Truce)” and have it placed in our home where we can see it everyday, but luckily have not had to use it yet!

You’re calming presence made both of us to feel very comfortable throughout planning of the wedding. Your demeanor and confidence during the ceremony was perfect and I think is why our guests raved about you. Even some of our more religious family members who were not pleased that we were not getting married in church, gave glowing reviews about the ceremony afterwards.

We had an incredible ceremony and you and your spirit helped make it so. We will gladly you refer you to anyone we know getting married.

We wanted to exchange our vows on the beautiful grounds at Oheka Castle instead of in a church, and it was so difficult to find someone who we felt comfortable with performing the ceremony. By stroke of luck, we discovered Elizabeth at a wedding we had attended. The more we spoke with her, the more we knew she was the perfect person to be our Officiant. She was detail-oriented and attentive to our needs. She got to know each one of us individually and personalized the ceremony to our needs. With Elizabeth, our ceremony was so much more meaningful.
